How To Write A Business Plan: Part 1 The Executive Summary

This part of the business plan is the first, but it is written last.  You may or may not have heard this before but do not ignore this suggestion.  It will make your life a lot easier. 


The executive summary section of the business plan is a summary of the entire business plan.  This means you will literally have one short paragraph for every section of the business plan.  For example, you will have one paragraph for each section:
PRO TIP:  If you have developed a business mode canvas or a 1 page business plan, this is a perfect outline for your executive summary.  If you are asking for a loan or investment the last paragraph of the first paragraph of the executive summary is a good place to mention that you are looking for an investment.
