Financial Literacy 101 What is a Dividend Yield (Div/yield)? An Entrepreneur's Journey Pt 54

In this video I explain what a dividend yield is.  In short, it is the rate of return on a stock.  For example, if a stock has a 2.90 dividend yield it means that the stock produces 2.90% yearly.  For example, a $100 stock that produces a 3.50 dividend yield will pay you $3.50 per year.  For another example, a $100 stock that produces a 2.50 dividend yield will pay you $2.50 per year.  For one more example, a $50 stock that produces a 5.00 dividend yield will pay you $2.50 per year.
